Lie #8: “I Can’t Change”
Zacchaeus had everything money could buy—but it couldn’t buy peace.
He was a wealthy tax collector, despised by everyone, and trapped by his own greed.
He may have believed what many of us have whispered in our own hearts:
> “I can’t change.”
Then Jesus came to town.
One look from the Savior, one call from the crowd—and everything shifted.
> “Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today.”
— Luke 19:5
In a moment, Zacchaeus’ heart turned from greed to generosity, from shame to salvation.
Jesus didn’t leave him where he was.
He doesn’t leave you there, either.
The truth?
Jesus can turn your life around.
No addiction,
No secret sin,
No past mistake is beyond His power to redeem.
If you’ve ever felt stuck—like real change is impossible—this chapter is for you.
Read it.
Pray over it.
Let Jesus write a new story in your life.
📬 I’d love to hear how God is speaking to you through this reading.
